Dave (Pipelinner) asked me for some short doodles of the Tyros 2 SA trumpet.

Well... first off I'm not a trumpet player so Dave, if you are listening you will probably cringe at my performances! Also the SA trumpet takes a bit of practice to get the best technique and this is my first attempt at recording it!

Two short little doodles for you all to listen to, the first is in a baroque'ish style and quick recorded using just the SA trumpet and the SA harpsichord voices.

The second is more of a jazzy style (using one of the big band styles) to show the shakes and fall effects.

Have fun!

Simon:

Loved both, maybe you are a trumpet player now you have a tyII and just didn't realise it. Some great sounds, are you using the pedal in spots?

The only use of pedal is for a few subtle deep breath sounds...

Hi Simon,

I have noticed that you have an extremly slow internet conection to your songs.
Can you verify this?

It takes an aweful long time to download something.
Is there anything that can be done about it?
Because I love listening to your music.

Thanks

Eric

Eric,

These files are quite big (several MB) so you need to right click and save them. If you dont have broadband then yes it will take a while. Most users I've spoken to can download them on broadband in about 20 seconds or less, but I am not aware of any problems with my webserver.

12 sec on cable (Australia) to download one of the files. Thanks very much. It's the best I can do at the moment since I understand I may have to wait another 2 or 3 weeks for my Tyros 2!

Hi Simon,

thanks for your fast reply.

I do have broadband and have no trouble downloading other files in just seconds.
However somehow my server doesn't seem to talk to your server correctly
It starts out with 5-7 KB per seconds than goes down to 1 KB per second....

I will try again later.

Thanks again.

Eric

Also taking me many, many minutes to download over highspeed broadband cable. Not sure why, but so far, it's been over 5 minutes and they are not complete yet. However, the jazz trumpet sounds great, from what I could hear of the first part!

Hi Simon,

just sat through a long but worthwhile download.

Great showcase of the SA voices.

Thanks for sharing

Eric
