I like to draw, paint, scribble etc when I am not working or playing music although I don't do it as much as I used to.

When the mood takes me I love to draw what can only be described as 'Rubenesqe Ladies'. My rather straight laced mother calls it pornographic, (I call it art) , my partner says...'You are not hanging that in here!'

Given that I have no experience of such ladies (or any ladies for that matter ), I don't know why it is I find the 'form' so compelling. I am sure the pshyciatrists would have an idea or two though

For your tittilation, disgust or scorn here is an example...The picture belies the real thing which is five feet tall, unfinished and called 'Gertrude the great'

Best to all and hope it did not offend any sensitive types.

Being somewhat of a canvas worker and an aprreciator of it. Very nice piece, I like it. What is the medium? Is it Conte or charcol? Hard to see from across the pond.
Very emotional piece. I think similar to the emotion in your music.

Hi Terry,
the medium is Conte and in the 'flesh' she is much softer. The Dig camera and then the compression seem to have picked out all the hard lines and diminished the soft. I am glad you like her. I think she deserves to be finished and maybe one day I will get on with it.
Don't you find that it is a wonderful way to relax? I like to be alone in the house when I work on my pictures....a glass or two of the vino and music playing while I doodle away Bliss!
Best to you
Tony
