Donny,
Just a few of your comments on weight!

1. I heard it was a bit heavy also from someone else....Arggggg? I'll stick with my [2] 37lb ea. Barbetta Sona 32c's & a 23lb Psr2k...my Back thanx me every night..

2. MUCH SMALLER, & LIGHTER, I repeat MUCH SMALLER W/H/D, & LIGHTER WEIGHT, w/quality speakers.

3. Maybe now manufactureres will take note and start making lighter weight & smaller profile arranger KB's its time for big change!

4. I hope in the very near future KETRON will take the MIDJAY & SD-1 merge them together "feature wise" with a few refinments as per "PRO REQUESTS" in a nice lightweight package 20-25lbs max, make the display screen a bit bigger, paint it black, offer 61/76/88 keys.....
my friends I will be first on line

5. Thanx for the info looks like a nice unit.
Tyros 2 LOOK OUT !!!!
49lbs...

6. Its a shame we dont hear more discussion about the genesys pro.....btw what does it weigh?

7. weight is NOT an issue with me.

... o.k., whatever you say!

DonM: Good detective work. Thanks for saving me from having to go to the trouble of sleuthing up these (in)famous DNJ quotes myself. I'm afraid the only consistency to Donny's viewpoints is in their "inconsistency" itself.

I'm just glad it's not 'my money' he's continually spending. I doubt Donny finds enough time to actually discover much about the keyboards when they're acquired & dumped so often. Oh well, it must be the THRILL of the catch.

Scott

Donny,
If the G 70 don't work out just call me. I considered the G 70 a long time before I ordered the tyros 2. It still lurks in the corner of my mind and I have not yet even seen one.
Still enjoying the sound system you sold to me. It is interesting to note that this sound system manufactured by Yamaha, came from China to Yam in Los Angeles and then went to you in New Jersey, then on to me in California and next Friday it goes in the motorhome to Canada and back. It may not have been used much but it sure is well traveled
Best on the G 70.

Me neither - I've been lugging around 240+ lbs. on these aging bones for long enough now. :-)
