Hi all,
I have just listened to the demos of the new Korg Pa2XPro on korgpa.com and to me it sounds exactly like the Pa800. I cannot hear any differences.
I thought that the sounds would have changed on this new keyboard. Maybe this has already been discussed in some other thread. If so I apologize. But, what do you all think?
Just a question for you sighted people. Since I am visually impaired i cannot see images. Does it look very different from the Korg Pa1X? Does it seem to have some more buttons, eventually?
Many thanks!

Christian,

The Pa2X Pro and Pa800 have exactly the same sound engine. That is why the demos sound identical. Here is what Korg says about the differences between Pa800 and Pa2X Pro:

"If you need a compact and light 61 key version of the Pa2X Pro with built in amplifier and speakers, check out the amazing Pa800. Same incredible sound quality with almost all the most important features as the Pa2X Pro."

Overall the button layout looks very similar both to the Pa1X and the Pa800, but there might be minor differences.

Kind regards,
Tommy

Hi Tommy,
Many thanks for that info.
The vocal processor, is that like the one on the Pa1X? Or is it limited like the one on the Pa800?
Many thanks,
Christian

If you check the specifications for the Pa800 and the Pa2X Pro they both say:

"Voice Processor Technology by TC Helicon: Three-part Harmonizer, Reverb, Delay, Compressor, EQ"

The specifications for the Pa1X Pro say:

"Voice Processor Technology by TC Helicon: Four-part Harmonizer, Reverb, Delay, Compressor, EQ – Pitch Correction and Voice Modeling available as option"

Therefore I would guess that the Pa2X Pro and the Pa800 have exactly the same voice processor - also because the two boards are so similar in every other way.

Kind regards,
Tommy
