I just came back from a Roland workshop, and I have to tell ya, my Alesis QS7 is looking pretty sad....The roland sounds are amazing, and the XP-30 is stacked!!!!I really am considering selling my Alesis, I know I'll lose some keys (the XP is only 61) but the overall sound and features would make up for the keys! Anyone else have any opinions?

The Roland is a nice unit. But always use standard buying proceedures; Play it with headphones on for about five hours to make sure the sounds wear well on your ears. Remember that any keyboard sounds great when played by product specialists. I heard a really cheap Yamaha PS series board played by a Yamaha artist that made my ears tingle, but when I played it myself it seemed rather like an entirely different instrument.
Keep both the Roland and Alesis if you can. They're both useful and very different!
