Would someone explaim what these settings mean and what adavantages are there and when one way is better than the other.

It seems the Mackie 808s I've ordered does not have a bridge mode. The tech that emailed me said it is dual mono. Whatever that means.

I bet i really don't even have to know about any of this, right?

Bridged means that you can connect both channels of a stereo amp so that it becomes a mono amp with a theoretical output of four times the power. Dual mono means that a stereo amp has two completely separate amplifiers, one for each channel, and two separate power supplies.
