I recomend you to buy a PA 300,(sold only throught music dealers), that is the name of the PSR 3000/and compatibles Power supply since the PSR 1000,1100,2000,2100, etc.....
I believe is a 16 volts and most power adaptor, most universal power adaptors, besides not having the proper plug, polarity, etc.... are between 6 to 12 volts.....I would NOT expose my PSR to other but the original power supply, I purchased one extra just in case.

Ditto! Standard power adapters are usually 12 volts maximum--the PSR-3000 is 16 volts, and the signal is very clean DC current with almost no AC ripple at all.

Stick with the orriginal, and as stated, buy a spare--it's worth the money.

The PSR3000/2100/2000/1500/1100/1000 power supplly, the PA300, is unique. You are risking frying out your keyboard if you try anything else.

You must have a backup anyway. My power supply just failed me after ten months of twice daily use. I'm using my brand new backup. In a couple of weeks I'm going to order another one. They're expensive, but indispensable.

The power supply is completely different. If you use a power supply that was used before the PSR2000, you will fry your keyboard! The older ones had a transformer, the new one's don't! They use a switching system & they're lite as a feather in comparsion! Gary's right they are 16volts not 12V.
