Boo, i have a suggestion for you, and others in the same boat, there is a member called, dave (pipeliner from svp forum i think he used to post here) here is his site, http://www.geocities.com/pipelinerr/A_REGS6.html , what he does is spends 100,s of hours tuning the sounds for keyboards (yammies) you can do this yourself or pay him maybe $50 (guess)for the package of downloads, he used to do it for free but many were taking liberties,(all he asked in return was that they post their comments of what they thought of them and lots never bothered) and its all done for you, his site is really impressive, take a look, reports from his tweaking are top notch and bring out the very best in your keyboard, mike

Thanks to all. I appreciate the input. I don’t want to spend $3500 right now for the PA1X which I imagine is closer to the i30 learning curve and I know it has many of the styles I have on the i30. I remember that from the little time I spent on it 3 years ago. This is also true of the PA80.

I don’t want to spend $1800 for the Tyros either and have to get it tweaked and add a hard drive and start a whole new learning system setting registrations. I also do not want the hassle of figuring out which style will do what so on and so forth for the tunes that I do. I have to spend my time staying on top of the gigging process, not all of the other possibilities. I’m too impatient to start completely over again with a completely new different system.

I’m gonna schedule a doctors appointment today and get some Prozac or other miracle drug to calm me down and give me patience to wait to hear DonM next month with the Midjay.

I saw one the other day slightly used for $1000. If I find the Midjay an added improvement with the i30, I can keep my beloved i30 and save a $1. After a few years with the i30, I’m still learning things about it. It will be easier for me to stick with it while learning the Midjay instead of starting over with a complete new keyboard system.

Hey won’t someone tell me “now you’re cooking with gas! Oh well I’m sure the Prozac will help.

Boo,i don,t understand? the keyboards have a music finder , look up the song and the right song automatically starts playing at the press of a button, you can list your regs in favourites section, and there they are.mike

Mike,

That's what I don't want to start doing all over again. Figuring out what styles and what sounds go with what songs I do. To me that would be a big hassle.

I like what I have, I just want to add something that would give me more choices for styles, plus I wouldn't mind better sounds.

To me the weakest thing on my i30 is the sounds of many of the brass and woodwind.I can live wih the piano guitar etc.

Keep calm, and just buy my Tyros for $900 including hard drive and speakers. You'll never turn back!

Are man! Why didn't you keep your mouth shut Graham. Man if you and I were together we'd be instigating all kinds of static.
Now you've opened up a brand new can of worms.
