I'm here really impatient about waiting to hear DonM's Midjay. All of the demo's I've listened to on the Internet of it does not sound up to par with the CD demo of the Tyros2 that I have, for the sounds Programs, tones or whatever you call it.

I'd have to use both pieces of equipment myself to tell which styles I'd like the best because the samples keep doing Pop, Waltzes and Rock styles and nothing close o the Jazz I want to do.

All that being said, I come across a plain old brand new Tyros not the Tyros2 for $1799. Now I’ve heard Gary say a million times he would not pay $3500 for the Tyros2 Vs $1599 for a PSR3000 and I absolutely agree on that point!

So what makes the Tyros2 worth $1800 more than a plain old Tyros? Like $3500 compared to $1800. I don't guess it's a Hard Drive. I mean they give those away, right? Are the sounds a lot better? I mean what is it?

To the next question! Is the plain old Tyros worth $200 more than the PSR 3000. PSR $1599 the plain old Tyros $1799.

If this is confusing to you and you want to help me out here please email OK? Maybe this is the last Tyros at the store! Who knows!

I’m probably stupid for asking this one but what about a Tyros for $100 more then the Midjay. Like $1699 for the Midjay and $1799 for the Tyros. None of these items are on display within 275 of me. Plus I have to cross the Continental Divide clear over the Rockies for me to demo them. Only the Tyros2 is in a local store but I’m not interested in the Tyros2 for $3500.
Thanks again for the help.
Boo

Brickboo,

I think you probably can get less than $1599 for PSR3000. Maybe around $1200-1300

Try to bargain with George Kaye or DanO

Good luck !

You can get a Tyros 2 for between $2800.00 & $3000.00.The Tyros 1 for $1750.00 is a good price as long as it is new.It may not come with a hd,in the USA.Tyros is worth the extra money if you don't care about on board speakers, and a little more weight.I've had a PSR 3000, Tyros 1 and now a Tyros 2.It's amatter of taste and finances. Good luck, Bob L.

IMHO I think with proper EQ and re-voicing the T1 can be made to sound damn close to a T2. How important are weighted keys, internal recording, USB2 and the SA technology (and if you want to relearn how to play with SA voices) are to you.

Offer 1500

good luck

Tom

Dennis what and where is IA?

Tom I need something right out of the box without a lot of extra tweaking. I don't have the patience or knowledge for the real technical stuff.

I have all I can do to keep up my sax and keyboard skills to perform.

Thanks for all of the help.

Boo. What happened to your loyalty to KORG.
Forget the rest...Get the Best. Ha!!!!

When I first heard PAX1 61 keys with speakers I thought it was connected to external powered speakers which were near by because the output was so good. The internal speakers are excellent. I was also amazed how good the PA50 is for the price.

You'll find that the Tyros 2 comes with no hard drive fitted, they cost extra and it's also USB1 not 2. It's also far better than the original Tyros and is worth every penny.
If you want quality then you have to pay for it
