Hi Oleg,
I always found the easiest way of testing what a keyboard could & couldn't do via midi , was to midi it up to a software sequencer, record button pushes, intro' endings etc then check the event list in the sequencer to see what controllers, program changes etc the keyboard transmitted .

One way of telling whether or not there's enough info sent by your keyboard to control bank, program changes , volumes etc
best wishes
Rikki

Wow. I wish my wife would make such an offer.

Hi, you are thinking about switching from a $300 keyboard to $3000. I wish I could afford that jump.
Anyway, I'm still happy with my DGX-305 and I am not planning to get rid of it. Yamaha hasn't introduced a DGX-310 with megavoices yet.
Best regards,
George V

Hi George,
I've always had top of the line keyboards.

The DGX305 was brilliant value for money. I bought it for the holiday house as a controller for my softsynth arranger setup.
We've now moved there permanently, and, as I also have a Clavinova , I don't really need the dgx as a piano anymore.

Hi Starkeeper, yeh , I'm spoilt rotten. Have been for over 30 years of wedded bliss. haa haa

Would a Tyros or psr 3k mean the end of Rikki2006 softsynth arranger system. Definately not.
It's just an addition.

best wishes
