Does anyone know the best hookup for Mpc2000xl and a Roland xp-60. I want to use the MPc for drums and the xp-60 for mutiple tracks of synth sounds. How do I access patches, change banks, and make sure that the patches are pulled up correctly when I load the songs. Obviously I am not too knowledgeable about MIDI yet and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

o kay. connect the midi in to the midi out and the out to the in on the mpc and xp 60.
at the bottom of the screen on the mpc where it says drum turn it to midi.on the screen next to that there will be a 1A. this means
it will play midi channel 1 from the a sound source. make sure the xp 60 is plugged in midi out a not b. to change the sounds, go
two spaces over to where it says pgm off and turn it to 1. this will let you use the first sound.turn it to 2,3,4 ect to get other
sounds.after you've recorded track 1 change to track 2 and channel 2 and so on.
have fun!!!
