Hi guys, I was just wondering if any of you knew how to convert Yamaha styles so they can be used on a Roland keyboard.

I must stress that I only want to do this for my own personal use. I don't want to distribute them or anything.

Hi,
As I have writen in another reply, you may buy a USB styles CDROM with 7.000 or more styles converted from all arrangers for your Roland.
Go to: www.usb-styles.com.fr

I don't know what quality these styles are. But I think they are good ones, because you pay US $120. It is money, ok, but you don't need to ask for, convert and download...7000 styles!!!

Thanks very much guys.
I can't actually afford $120 which is a big shame 7000 styles would be great, and it would be even better if my keyboard could have a CDROM drive attached to it cos then I could get all the files straight onto the keyboard

Thanks Gunnar-Jonny, I'll have a look at that.

Again, thanks to both of you.

Has anyone actually bought and tried out styles from www.usb-styles.com.fr in this forum ?
I'm very curious to get feedbacks on the quality of these styles.
Thanks

Claude

The program is also in English, but the
updated website is not quite finished.
Go into the German flag, and see the menu.
Then you'll find out more.

Do you have to pay for it?

Does anybody know where I might be able to get this program, or a similar program, for free?

Nope, no style conversion software can be gotten for free. And, I'm sorry to tell you that EMC, which works pretty well, will cost you WAY more than the USB style disk!!

Chris....There is a 4 day Demo versions of EMC Roland around on the Web, which gives you an opportunity to give it a try......Get all your styles ready to convert before installing HA!!
Select the G1000 \ EM2000 to use for conversion Yamaha to Roland.

RAG Web site and look down the downloads. http://www.daytonamusic.com/rag/index.htm
