I'm looking into getting the Quiklok keyboard set-up, including the mic boom accessory and probably the laptop acc. (for my Digitech Vocal Harmonizer). I know some of you currently use this system. I was just wondering what the specific item numbers that you use are, i.e. the laptop piece (or something similar). I've been to the Quiklok site, but there are several different accessories and a couple of stands that look similar. Just wanted some feedback, as I know this has been discussed before. Thanks!

Angelo

Angelo,

you need a sturdy X stand to start with

Quik Lok #QL 736

Mic Boom QLX4 [30mm collar]for the mic

another QLX4 that has to be cutom fitted for the laptop on the other side of the X stand.
You use the collar and the mounting verticle arm only, then fashion a cross piece and two smaller arms to hold the laptop or voc. Check out Ultimate supports site for tinkertoys parts to use. http://www.ultimatesupport.com/ThinkerToys.html

Angeloooo .. how does that digi sound???
BTW ... my last 2 gigs I just used duct tape folded over so that the adhesive was on the outside ... put it under the digi and sat it on the kb ... it partially blocked the right side on board speakers, but that didn't bother me as I was using my PA .... the tape could not be seen, so it looked good, was convenient, and didn't move until I went to break down after the gig.... but I agree, the quiklok set-up would be better .....

What's up, T? I haven't gotten the Digi yet. Should be here tomorrow.

I was looking at the Quiklok website, and found some accessories that can actually be used with the stand I have now. I thought you needed to have the 'X' type stand for those things. Hmmmmm..........

... let me know how it sounds, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate ...
