Hello

I have never seen or heard of this one. This was sent to me in an email account that is in no way connected to ebay.

I just forwarded this to spoof@ebay.com. First is my message to ebay followed by the ebay looking email sent to me:

This was sent to an email address that is not used for
ebay. I put this item in search on ebay under
completed listings and it is not shown. If you notice
at the top of this email it states eBay sent this
message to Tricia Bishop (tbishopjgk). Your registered
name is included to show this message originated from
eBay. It shows this was sent by "eBay member:
amritpal2004"

I have never listed such an item. I did not respond
to this email in any way. I did not click on any
links in this email.

If you will notice it states This message was sent
while the listing was active.
amritpal2004 is the seller.

I have never purchased or bid for anything from this
person.

I have chosen to not mention my user ID until directly
contacted from ebay.

Please advise.

Hi ScottL: I've received spoof emails like the one you posted, as well. I move these to my SPAM email folder & report forward them to the referenced vendors: Ebay, Paypal, etc as well. It's surely a dangerous internet world out there. - Scott

I had a simillar story. I never fall for these tricks, but this one from PAYPAL was SO convincing, that I clicked on the link, and put it my name and password. But just before I pressed 'enter', I decided to add a few letters to my password. I then pressed okay, and lo and behold it "logged me in" to update my credit card details!
