This is for a Tyros...

There are 2 black plastic mounting brakcets that are screwed into the back panel fo the Tyros to then hold the included music stand. The stand sits right into them nicely.

One of my has cracked and needs replaced.

I've heard different Tyros users from time to time mention they elect not to use this setup for holding music.

If anyone has 1 or 2 that they are not using, I would happily purchase them from you for a fair price (including shipping.)

Maybe Scott Yee (Mr. MusicPad?)
Maybe George Kaye?
Maybe somebody else?

Drop me a line if you can help...

Thanks-

Bill

Hi Bill

Check out these pics. There are 3 pics here that gives another alternative to screwing and unscrewing those pieces every time.

Some guy in New Zealand came up with this fix. He used 1/2" aluminum.

Hey Bill, I'm looking for the whole music stand set-up if you find anyone that has one
to spare....I talked to DanO in Maryland and he had one but never got back to me....

I don't know how to post them on SynthZone. I'm hoping that someone with the know how will do that. If not, I could post them on my web site.

I've posted this before, but i'll do it again. For those of you who get tired of screwing & unscrewing the brackets, here's what i have done. I took the brackets and on a bandsaw( you can use a hacksaw if needed) and sawed a slot on both brackets to fit over the two screws that hold the brackets on. Then you just slide em' on and off as needed. Very simple modification.Been doing this for two years now with no problems. Try it. You'll like it. Bob L

Here are the "inventors" desciption:

Hi Scott, it was I who made the Tyros Brackets and posted
the photo.
The reason was to raise the stand as it gave you a crink in
the neck being so low.
I used a U shaped aluminium extrusion which is 15mm wide
and 6mm deep. The screw heads fit well into the channell.
I put the end of the extrusion in to a vice and closed it up
to form a strong end. I then drilled it out with a 5.5mm drill
to give a tight fit to the stand pegs.
After posting the photo I made a further one with longer legs
to raise the music even higher. It endures wear and tear to
this day.
Best wishes to you and the great Tyros Group which I am
proud to read and enjoy
Jack Oliver

Hi Scott, thats correct the music stand pins fit the brackets direct.
They
are very strong as there is quite
a stress on them, particularly with the longer later model
one. I made 3 sets for my friends with Tyros here in the
South Island of New Zealand. I then ran out of material
which I already had. My location is in Christchurch on the
east coast of the South Island.
My wife Lorraine is the organist with an EL 70 and a Tyros. We have a
large
Electronic Organ Society here
with 250 members. There are groups in all the main centers in both
Island
Best Wishes
Jack Oliver
PS There are 3 pictures on Tyros world showing the
brackets, front and rear and a close up.

Hi Bob

I've been thinking about your invention. I am not sure if I know how you did that. Or more what it would look like. Is it possible to post a pic or draw a sketch? I'm sure I'm not the only one that would be interested.

Thanx
Scott
