I turned on my PSR-3000 and the power went on briefly, then off.

Now it won't power on at all.

Nothing!

I tried the usual "check for loose connections", etc

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm feeling kind if sick....

Thanks

I have 2 smart media cards and one contains the OS Upgrade for the 3000.

I inadvertently had the Upgrade card inserted when I powered on, and that's when the no power problem started.

I now fear a major problem because of this

I'm getting sicker by the minute

Larry.....sorry to hear about your problem..
a long shot, have you tried to do a trouble shoot with the Yamaha web site....maybe brother Gary might have some ideas, I'd email him direct and pick his brain as he's practically our resident trouble shooter...no
matter what you do my friend, I wish you success....

Hi Tony,

Thanks for your concern.

At the time I posted this, I also emailed Gary, and almost immediatly he emailed me back with some possible solutions.

1. Power Supply
2. Circuit Board

I'll need to get both tested.

Gary is a good guy for sure

Larry,
I wish you a quick and easy fix to your problem with the 3000. I readily empathize with you on the sick feeling when a keyboard doesn't work.

Thanks Tim,

Is the power adapter the same for the PSR-3000, and the S900? Maybe we can make a deal on one of the four you recently received

Take your kb to the store & try another power adapter....if it still doesnt power up then It could be something more serious but at least you'll know its not the adapter....& send it in for service.
or maybe its time for and upgrade to the S900. Good Luck.

I tested the power adapter, and it seems to be ok at a 16.25 volt reading.

I don't know what else to check, so now I need to make a decision on if I should send it in for repair. I'm not even sure where to send it.
