Hello...
Could anyone tell me what format I need to convert midi files to so they can be loaded into a KN1000 - I have tried converting ( using cakewalk) to midi0 and midi1, but no success - the KN1000 doesn't recognise them.
Thanks in advance

If I remember correctly, KN1000 has it's own Technics format. The midi file must be converted to that, but I thought there was a facility in the keyboard to do that.

Hi,
unfortunately some of the early keyboards weren't midifile compatible.
I didn't own a kn1000 so I'm not sure.

I remember back in the late 80's early 90's I used to transfer quite a few of my music files from sequencer to keyboard via midi cable. Rather a long process though.

It might be worth checking at the synthzone Technics forum, one of the owners may be able to help you.

best wishes

Hi ,
unfortunately it won't load a midifile. It also pre dates GM.

Only way that I can think of is to play them across via midi. ( not a simple task)
