Are any of you using this system (Escort 2000) with your Yamaha keyboard? Pros and cons...

I am using it. In fact just got back from setting it up at the supper club where I play on Wednesday and Thursday. I've had it about a year, and I use for small jobs.
It is a really neat little system and capable of carrying crowds up to 50 or 75 people.
The built-in reverb is good (only one effect). It's easy to transport, set up and take down.
Any specific questions, let me know and I'll try to answer.
By the way, mine is becoming available soon, as I recently acquired another one through a trade.

I sell the Peavey Escort 2000. It is a very popular all in one system at my store. There is a promotion going on right now at my store where you also get a portable stand which fits inside the case to hold the mixer when you are at a gig. It stands about 3 feet off the ground. The retail price for the system is $899.00 with stand and the selling price at my store is $549.00 if anyone is interested. You get the board, two speakers, two speaker stand with cables for the speakers, 1 mic with cable and the amp stand.

Gerry,
By the time you calculate shipping, you would be better off to buy new. George's deal sounds really great, or maybe your local dealer would do something similar.
I always try to buy locally IF the dealer is supportive. Otherwise, go with the price. Buying from George or DanO has the added, very important, benefit of dealing with someone who honestly cares about his customers.
I can sell my Escort locally any time I want without much trouble. Everybody that hears it asks about it.

Another important feature: It has rollers on one end, so you don't have to carry it.

Eddie, no more than 5 minutes. Just pop the speakers off, telescope the stands, plug in the speaker wires, and plug in the keyboard and/or mic(s).

The whole package (when packed) weighs in at 73 lbs. Does that pose a problem... in/out of your vehicle, stairs?
