O.K. Dave, I made the correction. I also had spelled Gigolo wrong, but I fixed that too.

I left out all the parts that weren't Tyros. There is a female vocal and a guitar part. The mix is very rough .... not at all finished. I just wanted to post some Tyros sounds for those who haven't heard it b4.
I studied Clarinet with Philly's top Dixie player in the 70's. I also studied legit with members from the Philadelphia orchestra during my stay at Temple - what a gas THAT was. Dixie is in my blood.

Hey Uncle Dave

Speaking of teachers in Philly. I took lessons from Dr. Donald S. Reinhardt in the 70's. He was the inventor and author of the "Pivot" system for brass players.

He was a famous embouchure specialist and a lot of the cats went to him as far back as Bunny Berigan, to Maynard Ferguson's son.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the solo voices. This shed some light on an age-old question reffering to samples and such.
I first tried to play a chord backing in a brass combi sound over the bass and drums. It sounded organ-ish and synthetis...even though the actual tone of the sample was pretty true to life. When dealing with wind instruments, you need to REthink the playing techniques and try to grab the feeling and fingering nuances that a player would use...also breath limitations.
When I stripped down the arrangement, and simplified the 3 horn parts ... it came to life. I know it sounds like there is too much delay, but it needed it to fill in the gaps behind the vocal. I posted only the Tyros tracks as a demo of the instrument. I'm not trying to sell the song. That's the writer's responsibility !(She IS too)
Anyway ..... Don, thanx for the space and the time you took to post it !

No problem Dave. I would like to post the vocal version also. I thought it was great, but their may be copywrite or other issues involved. Maybe after you get the complete mix, we can post a "teaser" from it.

It's copyrighted years ago, and my friend has no problem with exposure. Go ahead - add it on !
