Chico have u tried to open ur site from different places? or is it from ur location only?
Also you may want to contact the server of yoru website and let them know of the situation they may be able to help.

I can open my new site by internet explorer,msn explorer and all ok.
Five friends tried to open via: www.chicobrasil.kit.net
and all OK.
I cannot understand what happens.

Sugiro que você entre na www.globo.com,dirija-se à www.Kit.net e tente fazer uma página.Como você está em outro país,vamos ver como a coisa vai funcionar.Quem sabe o problema que está a ocorrer é porque trata-se de um hospedeiro doméstico?

Caro Chico,

I'll type in english so everybody understands us. I'm convinced that it's a domestic web page server, 'cause I have no problems in accessing the main Globo Web Page (of course we know Globo very well here because of the "novelas" ) at http://www.globo.com/ . But when one tries to access www.kit.net (which is actually a subdomain of Globo, kitnet.globo.com). The browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer) reaches the URL but somehow doesn't communicate with it. So it makes me think that this web location and its subdomains are only reachable INSIDE Brazil. Aren't your five friends accessing inside your country?

You may try to contact the technical support for this service to be sure of what is happening. The only reason I can find for this policy, is that the publicity (what makes this a free service) is in portuguese, and therefore has no effect outside your country. When you installed your web material, was there in invitation to you to pay for an "extended service"?

Tell me if I can help you any further. I can offer you some temporary space in my web server in the case you urgently need to make some material available.

Hey Chico, sorry that we cannot view your site. That's too bad...I tried to view it and I could not access it. But may I try to help out and give you a few suggestions?

Like someone pointed out, the main reason why we cannot access your site is probably because of our different locations...we are too far away from each other...the cause of the problem is probably the server you are using.

You should try to host your website on a different server. There is a server called Tripod, it is completely FREE - you do not have to pay anything to host your website! My brothers and I host our websites (one of our websites is at http://ptrnet.tripod.com/ac/ and it is hosted on Tripod) on Tripod's server and it works great! I highly recommend that you use Tripod for your website...go to http://www.tripod.com and you can sign up there and "publish" your website to your own FREE account! Tell me what you think, Chico! Tripod is a really good service and I know of many people who use it!
