Hi zuki,
Could you tell me which browser do you use? I made the site compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0 and Mozilla Firefox 1.0.7.

Hey George,

I too had problems using IE 6 on XP SP2.

But I was able to grab the URL out of the source code and it worked that way.

Try this:

You are launching the file out of an IFRAME and I don't know enough about that to see if there's something wrong with the code.

Anyway, beautiful piece, incredibly relaxing while I sit here at work on a Saturday afternoon trying to catch up on my paperwork.

I can imagine the video that would go with a piece like this.

Sunrise samples

Hello,
I am terribly sorry that you could not dowload anything. I used a HTML tag which, unfortunately, is not supported by some browsers.
I did some changes and believe that the bug has been fixed.
Thank you zuki and BEBOP for pointing out the bug.

Regards,
George

PS Mike, exatly the tag IFRAME was spoiling the download. I removed that tag
Believe or not, I use IFRAME (internal frame) with a big success on one of our company's web sites to collect the visitor IP and other stuff.

George,
Don't get me wrong bud, but what exactly do you collect here? Maybe I'm wrong, but sounds a bit like spyware to me.

Hi Squeak,

Web counters collect statistical data on the site visitors like browser type, IP, from where the visitor came to the site.

One needs this information to know how many visits their web-site have and where the visitors come from. This is important if you want to advertise on the site or to know where your potential customers come from, where you should advertise your site.

Besides, the collected statistical data is used for improving the web site. You know there are differences between browsers.

One needs to collect the IPs to count the number of downloads.

Another reason to collect IPs is to prevent unwelcomed visits to the site - there are plenty of hackers, spammers and etc.

As a web sites programmer I can reassure that there is nothing to worry about. Collecting this data cannot harm your computer. 99% of the sites collect such info (I am sure the Synthzone does). For example, whenever I enter andymusiconline.com it recognises me as a visitor from Bulgaria and says that they are currently unable to deliver keyboards to my country. I wish they were!

If you or anyone else require further information on this matter please send me a private email.

Regards,
George

I like your site a lot. Clean, simple and impressive.
Squeak, my site has a counter than collects all that stuff too. It is very interesting to see the information on visitors from all over the world.

Hi George,
thank you for sharing your beautiful piece of music.
I eventually worked out how to download

I'd love the sheet music copy of your composition.

best wishes
Rikki

Hello Rikki,
There are no dumb questions.
There are plenty of shareware programs on the web that process RAR files. Usually they have 30 days trial period.
Some of these programs could be used without paying after the trial period but you may feel this is unfair.
However, there is a freeware unrar program at
http://www.rarlab.com/rar_add.htm . Download the version corresponding to your operating system.

It is a command line program. This means:
1. If your computer runs Windows XP, install the program in C:\Program Files\UnRar
2. Copy the file you downloaded from my site into the same folder.
3. Press 'Start' button -> Run.. -> enter 'cmd' or 'command' and press enter.
4. Type
cd "Program Files"
cd UnRar
UnRar e sunrise.rar

And you are done. The process is similar if you use other operating systems

Regards,
George

George

Very nice work with both your web site and "Sunrise" I've downloaded all of your files. Have stored the sheet music on my music pad pro and later today will play it. Again, nice work you are a very talented person.

Hi,
Thanks to all of you who visited my site and listened to "Sunrise".
Dnj, there IS more to follow. There are about 10 compositions I wrote in 2005 but some of them will be uploaded to the site when I get a hammer-weighted keyboard. Therefore I am looking forward to the first reviews of the new Yamaha YGP series which will be presented at the NAMM.
Best to all of you,
George

Nice site and nice song George. It sounds for me like it might belong somewhere in a movie track, perhaps as the opening or maybe even closing piece.

Hi George,
thank you. I finally managed to get the rar file worked out.
Can't wait to try the midifile in my Clavinova. It aught to sound wonderful.

Sorry, i got so excited when you shared the midifile & sheet music with us, that I forgot to mention, your website looks great.

best wishes

Hello George,
Nice site.
At the moment I can only play Midi files on my pc (which I'm sure does not do your composition justice) as my board seems to have a problem with midi files. I think they have to be a certain type and to be honest as I rarely use midi I have not looked into this. However the fact that you have posted your song will give me the kickstart needed to get it sorted so that I can listen to it properly!
best wishes
Tony
