My wife and I going down to Florida and staaying with friends in the Lake Okechobee region from Wed. the 18th to Tues. the 24th. Anyone playing in the area that we might be able to catch?

You gonna be back in the Daytona area? If you can, plan on coming down my way on a Friday...any Friday...for my "casual lounge" gig. I can also get you into a more formal dinner/dance thing on Saturday March 13 or 20. Hope you can make it.

OH YEAH! Gonna play in Florida in early April for a couple weeks. Looking forward to playing a big barracuda on a fly rod, then playing with sailfish, grouper, yellowtail snapper and tarpon while I'm there.

Flying down or driving? If driving, you will be going right thru my town. Maybe we can meet for a bite. The local Cracker Barrel is still talking about Tom Cavanaugh's visit.

If flying into Miami or points south, it would be a long haul up from Key West and would really eat into your fishin' time.

Although.... my little town is known as the Sailfish Captital of the World. But, it doesn't have all the trappings of Key West.

Eddie, I'm driving and it sounds like a great idea. I'm sure the Cracker Barrell will never be the same after Tom breezed through town. Figgured I would catch up with you, Charlie Oram and Don Mason for starters, then head to the keys for a few days before going north to see friends in Jupiter and Palm Coast. I also hope to stop and see The Pro, Vinnie and a few other folks from this and other forums. Gonna' be a fun trip--no work.

I'll email you when the times gets closer and get more detailed information.

This should be a fun trip, but I expect to do lots of driving--my wife won't get behind the wheel of a full-size conversion van. Says it's too big to drive. HA!

Wow ! It would be so cool if a few of us could all meet at the same time somewhere in south Florida. I'm in between Sarasota and Fort Myers on the west coast and there are several Cracker Barrels right off I-75 in the surrounding counties. I'm looking forward to meeting Gary in April. Anyone else rolling thru then? -charley
