Ok, WHERE can I purchase the model 'SxZB' Tote bags for the EV SxA100's? Also, how much do they cost?

Also, currently, with the SxA100's connected directly to my Yamaha PSR2000, I seem to be getting plenty of volume (for small-medium venues) without needing to add an external pre amp/mixer.

I'm now wondering how much less (or more?) volume I can expect if the SxA100's are connected directly to a Ketron XD9 keyboard or Yamha Tyros keyboard, compared to the volume I'm getting from the SxA100's connected directly to my Yamaha PSR2000.

Thanks in advance,

- Scott

So Scott, you're saying I CAN get enough volume directly plugging the PSR2K to the SxA100's. I thought you had posted that previously. Also, let me know if you can locate those gig bags. I'll be on the look-out as well.

Angelo: I definitely can say I get PLENTY of robust volume plugging the SxA100's directly into the Yamaha PSR2000 when BOTH the SxA100 & PSR2000's volume level knobs are set at somewhere between the 1:00 & 2:00 position.

I'm curious to know why Deatonent somehow needs to max out the volume levels of both the SxA100 & his keyboard (X1) to get enough volume output for even a dinner music setting. Is this the result of his keyboard or his SxA100's?

With my EV PA/keyboard system, I only need to take along an external mixer for large wedding banquet room gigs so I'm HOPING now, that plugging the SxA100's into the XD9 or Tyros will produce the same similar 'sound volume' results I'm currently getting with the PSR2000. Can anyone tell me what I should expect?

The SxA100s sound weak when connected directly to my Ketron X1, Yamaha 9000 Pro, Alesis Quadrasynth, or Kurzweil K2000. I've used several different cables and put them up high on stands but nothing helps. However when I run them from a mixer they really "pump".

Hi Deaton: Thanks for responding that you are experiencing this on ALL your keyboards and not just the X1. I'm now wondering if the PSR2000 might be providing a higher signal output than the other kbs you mentioned, or if it's just something in my particular setup. I'm also wondering if the volume limitation could have something to do with your specific SxA100's. I of course acknowledge that an external mixer box will offer more volume (and better sound), but even plugging in the SxA100's directly to my PSR2000, I get very good sound quality & plenty of pretty loud volume for most of my gig venues. Of course, I don't play for hard rockers either, so maybe that's the reason?

Anybody else here using the SxA100's plugged directly into their keyboard? It will be valuable to get feedback and results on this from other EV SxA100 owners as well.

Hi,
Back to the bags. I contacted Washington Music Center relative to price and availability of the EV Model SXZB speaker bags. They answered this way, "Deaton,
Thanks for your email. The SZCB covers sell for $60 and on a prepaid order we will pay the freight, as long as you live in the 48 lower states." Does that mean there is no such thing as the SXZB bag or are they quoting a substitute model?
Thanks,
DVJ
