Hello everyone,

Is anybody using Sd1 with a computer software that fully supports Sd1? I mean a software that can recognize all the sounds of Sd1, not just the GM sounds. I am using Cakewalk Pro Audio9 and it only recognizes the GM sounds.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, I also use Cakewalk pro audio 9 and or (Sonar 2 XL), to be able to manage the SD1 sounds of the banks 0,1,10, etc,

FIRST you have to download the "instrument definitions that are post it at the beguining of synthzone.com , click at solton/Ketron, scroll down and you will see clearly SD1 instrument definitions for Cakewalk, after you download them, unzip them of course in your hard disk, then copy the contents of the folder (there are 2 icons, one for drums and the other for the voices/banks), and paste them inside the folder of your installed Cakewalk (normally in your "C" drive, then open the cakewalk and in patch double click and it will have a dialog window ( where you put the number of the sound )and import (define) instruments and you'll see the SD1s, I recomend to do all the tracks, remember that channel 10 is drums, and depending on the file, channel 9 became "drums"2, (bank 4), and save that / as "Template", is not that hard.....I hope it helps...good luck.

Sev01 ,

You may want to try this if you haven't already .

Press F6 for midi
F7 for p.change tx and use f10 to select each part listed in the display .

F8 for p.change rx same as above

press save enter and execute .

Sev01,

Important :
The SD1 has TWO midi input ports, a GM-one and a Ketron-one.
You 'd better use the MIDI-in2 to get access to the (better) SD1 sounds.
