Bravo!! Wonderful job on "O Barquinho." I love that tune! You play that with lots of finesse. One of my all time favorites.

And yes I remember Theme from the Munsters and Herman Munster use to watch that show all the time when I was 10 or 11 years of age.

Beautiful rendition, Manuel! Great playing.

In the intro it sounded like the band was down a corridor somewhere. Then, as the bass, etc. dropped in, it was as if I'd walked through the door into the room where the music was playing. So, apart from the musical sense, that intro was very apropos in another way, too.

It was difficult to tell if they were real guitars or not. But please tell me the T2 has more creative basslines than the 'doomp doomp-doomp' pattern that Yams have been using for the last 185 years.

Thank you for listening and your coments too, Thank you Dnj.
Fran there is not a guitar mode, what I always try to do, is play with the logic that as an example the acoustic guitar should be play, never more than 6 notes simultaneosly, with a slide arpeggio either asending or desending but never like a piano could, all notes at the very same time....so I tried to play it like that.
And yes, Scott, I first recorded in the T2 the intro-chord secuence using a stock(factory style) only a little manipulated and saved in my registration banks, then I play in real time the right hand, well, I use both to enable me to do what I did.
Dreamer thank you, you are also one of the best players I heard so far, thanks Tony Rome, I hope to see you in Can Cun, I did worked there but it was in 1976-1977, a very long time.....Thanks kbrkr, Stephenm52, Tony mads (and yes,I did played) , Eric B, renig for your kind words.
Scott Yee, let me know what program do you use to convert the wav to MP3 at resolution you said 192 kbps. I have the original wav, because I did also use the Tyros2 HD recorder, then I exported into my PC, so perhaps, I can re-coverted and replace the current uploaded version.

Renig,
the problem with bossa nova styles is that the bass player usually plays behind the beat (at least he does so if he is really brazilian... ), whilst in those Yamaha styles the bass is always dead right on the beat and this kills that relaxed feeling a real bossa nova should have.
Besides, I hate the T2 bass sounds and I wish that Yamaha had included the beautiful acoustic bass of the Motif ES instead...
Another thing: I usually mute the string track in all bossa nova styles because it tends to give a corny feeling. Sometimes I leave it, but with a vocal sound instead (like a Hmmm choir).
In general, I like more the bossa nova styles in the PA1 X pro: they seem more "on the money".

Dreamer,

The Tyros and the Motif share the same sound engine. The T2 has 30-40 Bass Samples to choose from. The Acoustic Bass on the T2 is astounding.

Al,
sorry but I was unable to find, among all the T2 bass sounds, one that fits well in a bossa nova style. The problem is that in a real bossa nova the bass is very subtle, almost unaudible. I have found a partial solution to this problem using a pick bass and lowering the volume of the bass track.
Every other bass I have tried (inclujding the acoustic, like in the style used by Manuel) sounds "too much" to me.
The Motif ES acoustic bass is completely different from the T2 acoustic bass, just like the Motif ES lacks the SA voices.
Ciao!
A.
