Keep getting better week after week, that is. Having been into AI for only ~ 5-6 weeks, I can say with certainty, that every one of these 7 finalists have made measureable improvements over that period of time. Just when I thought my vocals were getting better, now I don't know. I'll bet they're working their tails off and getting super-coached.

Great job by all tonight except for poor Kelly.

Idol has been around for years in so many other countries.....
there was even a WORLD IDOL Show also...I have never missed a show of AI since its inception.......4 yrs........rumors have it there will be a Senior Idol too in the future

Kat was HOTT!!! tonite. I'm really talking about her performance but yeah, she ain't bad lookin' either.

It was an incredible night for AI, and poor Kelly seemed to be scared to death during her performance. She an outstanding performer, but tonight she just picked the wrong song. Kate was beyond a doubt the best of them all. As much as some folks seem to resent the comments by Simon, I must agree with his assessment 99 percent of the time. Kate kinda' reminds me of Judy Garland when she performed in the Wizzard Of Oz, except I think Kate is better.

I agree; Kate was awesome. When they zoomed in on her face, you could see her lips quivering in fear, but you couldn't tell from her voice. She did great.

I also thought Taylor Hicks nailed it for the men. He might not be the best singer, but he is the best entertainer out of all the men. He is lot's of fun!!

Is it just me, or is Paris really getting obnoxious? I thought her vocal intonations were cheezy, she is very stiff, doesn't really move around a whole lot, and I can't stand all her "Tank yooooos" at the end of her performances.

I think Kellie sealed her fate on this performance. She is the weakest performer out of the group and it really showed. She can't make it to the finals on just her charisma alone; she is such a cutie pie!

And...I'd really like to see some of you folks enter Senior Idol! That would be a hoot.

What I don't understand is how these people are paying their mortgages, car payments, etc.

Are they ALREADY making that kind of money that they all can be taking this kind of time off of work. Don't some of these guys, like Chris, have families to support, and bills to pay?

Just really curious how that is all working.

And I would like to see them get rid of 2 if not 3 next week: Pickler and Ace need to go, and although Paris has what I would call a serious future, she will not make it to the end. It will be between Chris, Taylor, and "Cat". All 3 of them are pro's at what they do.

All 10 finalists go on the "IDOL TOUR" when the competition is over doing concerts all over the world to start.....they also make an "IDOL" CD of songs done on the competition.....besides the winner getting a recording contract & $$$$$$$ with Simon's company.
Its a mucho $$$$$$$$$$$$ steamroller for all involved !! You dont have to win to make it big in the business.....
Idol is just a vehicle to stardom!

Tony.....my daughter auditioned for IDOL last season.........at the New York City auditions.......she slept in the street for three days with over 10,000 hopefulls.....
theres alot MORE going on thruout the tryouts process which really Leaves Out so many great talented singers......MANY never even make it thru to the first of Three Sets of judges & producers let alone ever reaching Simon, Randy, Paula on the ON AIR show.....having a great voice doesnt mean squat......lets face it AI has to make an entertaining TV show that makes them Millions of dollars each year by making peopel watch & buy advertising spots and if your lucky to be apart of it your on your way to a career in the music business.......LUCK, is MUCH MORE THEN SINGING TALENT in this game!!
