Bill, I suspect the problem arrises from performing in humid, smoke-filled environments. When I performed with the PSR-5700 at an American Legion in Maryland the smoke was so thick it looked like the building was on fire when the door was opened. After just a year of playing there once a week the inside of the keyboard looked like someone had sprayed a layer of sticky, brown tar on every component. I eventually had to replace all the switch boards, key pads and cleaned everything else with denatured alcohol. The life expentancy of keyboards in this type of environment is not at all good. Good Luck, Gary ------------------ Travlin' Easy
