We are trying to organize some workshops and would like to get some centralized areas and dates so most can participate (appart from the East coast). I will be carrying out some major demonstrations in major cities of current and new products within the next coming months or so. Hands on/listen for your self is the best experience when it comes to getting a new product.

If we can get a bunch of names/locations, ,maybe we can organize something more fruitful to you the consumers than the upcoming NAMM show.

Ideas/suggestions are welcomed, but first locations please.

I wish Ketron could do something on the East Coast AJ. I really would like to see an SD1 before I commit to another hardware arranger again, but... it's time to replace my PA80 and I'm in the buying mode....

I am dying to see, hear, and play the Ketron line, but I'm on the East Coast.

I would also, be interested in hearing Ketron products, but I'm on the East Coast. Seems to me that you are missing an opportunity. Just my two cents worth.

I just got a Tyros2 and I love it. I also have a SD1,it still has version 3.0 and I love it just as much as when I first got it.Those whom never heard one are really missing the boat.!!St.Louis area has no clue as to what they are.

Well, not sure how the Ketron would work for me anyway. If I remember right, the reports on the harmonizer were less than glowing.

I don't use a harmonizer enough to warrant adding an external one, so I would like for my arranger to have a pretty good one. The one on the PA80 is fair, but certainly not top notch.

I'll start plannning the workshops for the KETRON SD1Plus - EXP then. My goal is to get to as many of you as possible with fruitful trips.

There are a lot of people in the North East from what I see. I am in Baltimore and could make...

MD (Baltimore itself). Others have already been to our 'lab' here. Won't mind doing another workshop here.
PA (Philadelphia at Cintioli's music) off of Oxford Avenue.
NJ (where would be a good location - TRENTON???).
MD (Keyboard city) and trust me - we WILL have a keyboard!!

I need to get some dates together and based on demand, your schedules, set up a location. So far, I see PA and NJ as center points for the NE.?

Bluezplayer - I see that PA might be too far for you. Where would you want to meet and how far are you willing to drive? If you do not like what you see, I promise to take care of your gas (and that goes for all who come ~ be honest now and nothing above $30.00 so SUVs be watchfull).

... just so you know, I am hoping to accomplish the North East within December (PA, NJ, MD). MD also includes Chuck Levins Washington Music Center in Wheaton.

For the West Coast, I will make arrangements with George Kaye around the NAMM show dates so I can spend some time with him and his customers too (so we are looking around January ending).

Scott Yee, where would be a good location in the San Fransico area for such a workshop? What store/hotel could we use?

Glenn. You are about 7hrs. drive from Baltimore. Could you assist in setting up this workshop for me there in Cleveland (locating a hotel who's lobby we could use or a good music store who won't mind the demo for say 2-3hrs? Ofcourse we will provide snacks ..etc). Please get back to me on this.

AJ i amUK based and so its impossible for any of us to see the Ketron in reality. However it would be awesome if you were to video your demonstrations. It would be really very useful to see all the keyboards you have mentioned properly compared by someone who truly knows what these instruments can do. You could post the video on here or put it on DVD to distribute. I dont know if you have distributors in the UK but i can do some initial canvassing of the local music shops and see if thgey want a copy of the demo. If they are interested it could be a way of getting greater distribution for Ketron. Just a thought

I can only do weekends AJ. Either would be ok, Sat might be better for me ( but not this Sat, I have a daytime gig ).

OK, someone just gave me an idea which I believe will benefit all, so at this point, I am taking OFF my "KETRON" hat.

I will present the following Keyboards at the workshops starting with Chuck Levins Washington Music Center [301-946-8808] (then other locations to follow), so let's see what the attendance will be.

Korg PA1X-Pro
Ketron SD1Plus - EXP
Roland G-70
Genesys
Yamaha Tyros 2.

This will be a FAIR workshop of all these arrangers which I will touch. Hopefully, most now have a spot to go to try them all out coming through the SAME PA system ~ all Out Of Box with no further tuning/enhancements done!! Understand that due to time, I may not be able to go into great details on anyone board, but at least you now have a spot/chance to try them out on the East coast before you purchase. Where you decide to purchase either one is up to you and I still strongly suggest you support your LOCAL dealers - unless they do not carry any of the lines above.

Let's agree on a date for early December, ok?
