One of my favorite mags just came out with a US monthly edition at $7.99/issue... much better than the previous $11 or 12.99. Better yet, you can subscribe for 12 issues @ $24.95 or 24 for 44.95. That's less than $2/ issue. Not bad, considering I've picked up at least 2-3 issues/yr at the old price. Each mag comes with a CD, both loaded with pretty good stuff, IMO.

Hi Glenn, I enjoy browsing at "Future Music" magazine at my local newstand, but have always been reluctant to subscribe because of its costly UK import price.

I'm wondering if this new US edition has all the SAME material (articles, reviews, etc) included in the UK edition. If so, I'm interested in subscribing to the US edition of: "Future Music" at the $2 US dollars/issue price. Does the $2/issue deal INCLUDE the CD with each issue as well?

I like UK mags...even if they are costly.
Future music is a very good mag, (at least was back in '95) but is more dance oriented though.

Scott... The US ver of FM seems to be somewhat 'slimed down' - less pages (114) and slightly smaller size, altho much of that seems to be due to less advertising. And yes, the CD is included with each issue. My advice is to head over to Borders or Barnes & Noble and check out the current (September) issue, which includes a comprehensive 12 page tutorial on mixing, Ableton Live 5 review, the CD, and lots more.
