Hi Gang,

I snuck out the back door and went to Europe on vacation and to see my family.
First stop (current location) Amsterdam for 2 days, then to Germany for a few days to visit family, then to the island of Mallorca (Spain) for ten days, then back to Germany, then back home to California.
Altogether 3 weeks..... Sweeeeeeet .

I'll check back with you guys in a few days.
You'll behave now...

Eric

Have a fun time, guys!

I thought Eric might be intested in knowing that according to news reports on the radio today, Cottage Hospital (Eric's place of employment)lost all power for three hours today. Evidently the power went off and while they were working to repair it,the emergency back-up generator went out as well. So even dual redundancy may not be enough in some cases. They do not know the cause of the failures at this time. I'm sure your co-workers will have some stories to tell when you get back, Eric.

In the mean-time, enjoy your vacation. We're looking forward to hearing about your trip when you return - perhaps at the Macaroni Grill?

Hi Gang,

thanks for the wishes, we're having a great time.
Amsterdam was great and the Dutch were very hospitable.
We are now in Germany celebrated my father in law's 75th birthday, partied and partied.... and of course visited lots of family.

In a couple of hours we are off to Mallorca for 11 days....

I'll talk to you from there again...

Roel: too bad there was not enough time to meet.
Paul: Macaroni Grill sounds great
Mike: too bad we can't meet, but good to know that family is close by in case of withdrawl...
Scott: looking forward seeing you again
Andrea: no beer for me right now, I had a bad stomach flu before my trip....
Tom: no missing the rain, it's raining here in Germany right now too

Again thanks everybody for your wishes.
Talk to you soon.

Eric

The next time when you're in Germany take a trip to Frankfurt/Main if you can do so. Oh, by the way, the German's beer is absolutely free of dirt ("Deutsches Reinheitsgebot" ). It's told that more than 5,000 minerals, vitamins and trace elements are in there.

Cheers for your health and have a nice time in Mallorca...

Hi All
Just got back from Holland and Germany after a super 5 day break there.
Seems that Europe at the moment is the IN PLACE!!!
My wife and I spent a few days at a Hotel in Venlo,Holland and spent a couple of days in Germany to visit my friend Fritz in Moers, just over the border. We enjoyed it immensely as we always do and now want to go back again as soon as possible.
We were unfortunately too far away from you Roel but maybe next time we will go into Germany from the north and perhaps pay you a visit!!
I am just catching up on what's been happening since we were away and will soon get back on course with the uptodate threads.
I note , for example, that Tony W has a voice outage (sorry, I borrowed that phrase from USA, hope others understand)As soon as you are able to speak, Tony I would love to have a few minutes on line! I have a call name of 'eddiefromrotherham')
Speak to you all again soon.
cheers

I think little Sunny is enjoying his travels thru Europe as well. He's so tiny that I bet he even got to sit (under the seat) next to Eric & Claudia in the passenger section of the airplane too. Ahhhh . . . such is a dog's life ! Eric, looking forward to seeing pics when you guys return. - Scott

Hi guys,

here a little update:
yesterday we had a duo perform at the hotel.
Male and female. He was playing spanish and electric guitar with midi back up and both were singing.
They played a large variety of international songs including some spanish/latin tunes.
The croud was rather subdued until I got up with my mother in law and showed them how to dance.....

Nigel: Scott is right, Sunny is with us and making some spanish dog friends.
He speaks already dog-mexican from our trip to Mexico last year. So spanish comes easy to him.
He has been already in 7 countries and speaks 5 dog languages...
More than a lot of our american friends...
Makes you wanna come back as our dog next lifetime.

Anyway the beach is great food is good and plenty, the spanish are very nice, the women are beautiful..... Life is good....

The only thing I start to miss is my lady (9000Pro)

Talk to you in a couple of days.

Eric
