Hi TPK,
IMO-- I would go with the KN7000. I have nerver seen or played one, but given the, other two, I would gladly get the 7000 "sight -un - seen" compaired to a Tyros or a Genesys.
I realy like the idea of the way the "panel" folds down, and I realy think they put alot of "thought" into building it. Even though a few folks think it`s a KN6500 repackaged!
O-BTW, Welcome to our family and the "best corner of the web" The people here are "fantastic" and you`ll always get help no matter what you chose.
Have fun , happy playing and post often !

Tpk,
You've opened a can of worms and we're all going to have our own preferences for different reasons. I just ordered a Tyros, so you know that's my answer.

Hello, when I am buying a top arranger keyboard or anything, I'll consider ALL options and those are: the Ketron SD1, even the new XD9 loaded could give a run for the money to the others already mention, also check the Korg PA80 (also loaded, hard disk drive, vocalist, etc), at least that is what I would do.
Good luck.

md,
The PA 80 does not come with a hard disk, it is an option. And it is very picky about which h/d too, not just any one will work.

Definately give a listen to the Ketrons, the SD1 or XD9, if you can find a dealer. They beat the competition when it comes to drums and authenticity of horn sounds.
