What I thought was cool was the Dawn system doesn't need monitors, Also I think the cost is around $350.

The HK look like they cost allot more and if I'm not mistaken are more directional, and is powered.

Plus can you find them in the US?

Glad to hear it went okay....that's a whole lot better than horrible.

I used the Dawn years ago and I know what you mean about the lack of midrange. In addition to their light weight and ease of setup, what I liked was how the satelites dispersed sound to the left and right. (Great for wide, shallow rooms.) But, I thought the Dawn was weak in throwing the sound out into a deep room.

Positioning the satelites behind me, resulted in feedback problems. The best results came from putting them off to my sides and elevated as high as the cheesy stands would go.

Overall, I felt they were substandard for my typical rooms of 200-300 people.

So it looks like the Dawn system is the step above the speakers on the keyboard thing to one step below a standard speaker on a stick?

Are there any other types, the HK looks good but it requires a monitor system,

I also have a Z3000 but not sure how to position it so feedback and customer ability to hear would be at a optimum level, also I would have to come up with stands and where do I get monitors? for them

The Peavey Escort 500 is quite good. I sold mine, but have regretted it a time or two.
