I have posted 4 new vocal cuts from my cd in progress. For those that prefer a more traditional approach to music theory I think you might find these to be a bit more to your liking.

The first cut "Welcome To America" goes more back to my roots in folk music of the 60's with acoustic guitar fingerpicking and less production.

The second cut "One Great Love" is more representative of the music I was raised on and influenced by in the 50's soul music, so this would be my interpretation of what I will call "cracker soul"

"Hey You" an acoustic cut and "My Boat" a more hamony intense cut.

All cuts use a combination of the Tyros, MoES and TC Helicon Voiceworks. The 1st cut has realtime acoustic guitar added.

All constructive feedback welcomed.

Hey Terry,
I really enjoyed these as usual!

I think my fave was 'Hey You'. The fret sounds on the guitar were amazingly realistic. I assume this was the tyros as you say that only 'Welcome to America' (which I also really enjoyed) was the only one with acoustic guitar added?

Also are the reverbs on the vocal done through voiceworks as well as the harmony. The vocal reverb sounded really nice and warm on all the cuts.

The harmonies were cool but especially so on 'One Great Love'. Kind of Bee Gees meets Boyz 2 Men. Loved it!
Very best wishes to you Terry
Tony

Tony,
Thanks for the kind words. It was realtime acoustic guitar on Hey You as well...so I'm glad it sounded real because it was. The reverb was both from the VW and my new Tascam SX added a touch of reverb as well.

I may have to have a closer look at the voiceworks as I am looking for something with quality reverbs on it for my vocals. I was watching a voice prism on ebay as I hear tell the reverbs are very good, but when it got to £400 i thought it a little extravagent just before Christmas. Especially so as I prob won't use the vocal harmony much as I never use the one on the 9000pro.

Hey Terry,
Nice job as always, I like my boat the best... It seems on the first 3 songs most of the vocal was coming out mixed left. Would have like it to be even on both sides...
I have to say I'd need at least one or 2 weeks off on the beach in a beach chair with a island drinks to soak up all the CD you've produced...
Keep it up my friend..

Tony,
I would not waste my money on one of the harmonizers, if you're not going to use the harmonies. There are several great reverb units including TC Helicons G Force or the less expensive G major.

I have a G Force and it has some great reverbs on it.

Also if you do want one of the harmonizers I chose the VW over the Prism for a couple of reasons. Later voice modeling technology and easier to use.

You could also look at the digitech some of the other members here use it and like it, it's less expensive.

Thanks for the listen. I really like "My Boat" too and it's harmonies. Got an extra beach chair and brew? I'll see you there.
