I'm running XP. I'll reinstall the latest version of Windows Media Player. How do I run Scandisk?

weird. That's missing too. Anyway I found the volume control program in the system32 folder but the file extension was changed to .ex instead of .exe. Don't know what made that happen. What's the file name of the scandisk program? Maybe the same thing happened there too.

Hi Sean
Don’t panic, scandisk was moved in XP.
Double click My Computer, Right Click the C Drive (or any other hard drive you wish to check) and select properties followed by the tools tab, there you will find the button under Error Checking.
BTW Make sure you do a full virus and spy ware scan with the latest definitions, as these can alter files.
Hope this helps.

Bill
