I have a PSR-2100. Was just wondering if upgrading to the 3000 would make a huge difference?

Hi Sunny,
I upgraded from a PSR2000 to a PSR3000 and found a huge difference. It's well worthwhile. The PSR3000 is a great keyboard.

Can you wait another 8 months? By then the PSR3100 will be out, probably with Super Articulation voices. No, no. I' not trying to start any rumours. Just following Yamaha's patterns. I want to upgrade as well from a PSR550!! A PSR3000 wud be a huge upgrade, but if I wait another 8 months it will be an even bigger upgrade.
Since Yamaha usually holds back some inovations for the next model (the Tyros 2 is an exception to this rule IMO), one astute member of the Synthzone suggested to only upgrade on every 2nd or 3rd model. IMO you should wait for the next upgrade.

I would upgrade with a used PSR3000, and then upgrade again in July or August when the successor comes out. I wouldn't wait 8 months. The PSR3000 is a major leap ahead or the PSR2100.

Consider a used tyros. Its sounds styles ease of use is lightyears ahead of psr3000 in my opinion
