Hey i am looking to buy a keybaord, so i rented the psr2100, and then the korg pa80. The 2100 has this feature where it will take the notes you play and put it into notation. does the pa80 have a similar feature??? Also, the 2100 is able to record 16 tracks and mix them. does the pa 80 also have this, or something of the sort??

-about the psr's notation feature; Am i able to put the notation file from my keybaord onto a disc and print it out from my computer? just wondering.

Thanx

I have had the PA80 for 2 + years and know nothing about notation features for it, but you can record 16 tracks and mix them inside of the board. For a keyboard it has a very decent internal sequencer. That said, I still prefer to record my tracks to an external sequencer though and do my editing there.

I could be interested in this feature too, has anyone used this??? I don't have mine yet to try it out and don't remember reading about it, perhaps I haven't got that far...

It makes me wonder if you could record notation from PSR2100 onto floppy and bring it to computer, without wires (yeah!), it sounds a useful tool indeed

Hello:

Actually all the standard midi files can be seen in a computer as notation with a program like Cakewalk, Cubase, etc....regardless in what brand and model of instrument in witch was made. In the keyboards like Yamaha, the mid to high end Roland digital pianos...........
You select what track you want to see in the Yamaha PSR 1100,2000,2100s, PF1000, and most of the CVP Clavinova series, and there is another "accesory" that looks like a flat LCD monitor that you "midi" from the source and will display also the notation, I am not sure if this is available in the US...I had seen it in some european web sites.
