Anyone interested in the G1000 factory zip, I uploaded the formatted zip at the address below..Open the zip file after downloading and save to a zip disk..It will work in a G1000 or EM2000..
If someone needs the VA factory zip, let me know and I can upload it and post the link..

Claudiu, I received your parcel, loaded it [zip] and am on the way to the post office to mail it to you..
It is very important not to add or delete files from this zip via computer..It will make the zip unusable..If you want to add files ..do so via floppy[the one in your VA]..
There is a software to use with the computer[RDBM]..downloaded from Roland..

what do you mean "not to add or delete files from this zip via computer " ? what if my friend sends me a style....so you're telling me to use this zip just with the va76..not modify it..just use it as an original [] but i have the other 2 blank zip disks and a zip drive for my computer - can i use THOSE 2 if my friend sends me styles via computer ? you kinda confused me...umm...yeah.. and how can i use my zip drive if my friend from romania sends me a style on the pc ? Ugh..this is the first time i'm dealing with these kind of things - everything is new to me and there's so much information that i don't comprehend properly...and i have so many questions that i become annoying. Claudiu, you can add files by the method I mentioned without endangering the zip's reading capacity...Your friend will load any files to a floppy..Take the floppy into the VA's drive, and follow the copy procedure..This will copy safely to the zip.

let's make this easy for me: I have the va76, I have 2 blank zip disks from iomega, and along with the zip disks i bought a zip drive for my computer. My friend wants to send my styles via e-mail - How can i play them on the va76.. ? i don't have any floppy in my house and neither a floppy drive...tell me what to do..return the zip drive... ? i bought the zip drive to use it when the friend from romania will send me styles...so please tell me..what do i have to do when i have 1 style [let's say] in my computer sent from my friend ?...i'll return the zip drive if i won't need it.

Claudiu, I would suggest you buy a USB floppy drive[I bought one on line for $20]. This would allow you to save the data from your friend's email to a floppy..Take the floppy , insert it into the VA floppy drive and follow the procedure to copy from , floppy drive ..to.. zip drive..
Also available from Roland[down loadable] is the Roland Data base Manager software[RDBM}..This will allow you to save data to a blank zip via Computer..that will play in the VA76..
This program has a learning curve and may be difficult to learn...

Claudiu, I think you contact me by email, rather than use up Nigel's bandwidth..If anyone would like to explain the subject to Claudiu..I am sure he would apreciate the help..
Claudiu, not to confuse you more..you can use the zip drive with your computer for other uses as well as loading data with the Roland software..

I'm kind of in the same situation. My zip disk has gone bad and i can't read things from it. Any chance i can count on you in getting the factory va 76 zip disk ?? Thanks in advance!
This link had to be zipped and probably will not be formatted for Roland..You can save the data and via RDBM save to a Roland format..
If you want me to save [duplicate] the original data to a Roland formatted zip. Postal mail me a blank zip and a self addressed/postage paid envelope...to Fran Carango 37 Fawn Lane, Levittown, Pa 19055

I use that same software, i downloaded it from Roland Italy(probably the only place that has this software. It helped me fix the Zip when VA76 didnt want to read it!!! But right now, the software won't read it cuz there's some kind of file error ... but it's ok, good thing VA76 is reading it.
