This bothered me a lot folks!!
From Keyboard Player's Review on the Tyros. Martin Harris Global Content Manager for Yamaha Corporation Japan is quoted as saying:

Another interesting point is we believe this instrument is so good as to appeal to the professional musician as their needs are much the same as the home player - sound quality and ease of operation"

Hmm!! Home Market ey! …What's wrong with this picture folks?:
"this instrument is so good as to appeal to the professional musician as their needs are much the same as the home player"....a professional Musician's needs much the same as the home player's? Wow!
And this guy is the "Global Content Manager for Yamaha Corporation Japan"?
What an incredibly ignorant statement that is! From someone who “obviously” doesn't know the pressures between being in front of a large audience and zero room for error, and being alone in the comfort of your home playing to the walls!
In the last 20 years, this has been my main complaint with the major music companies and Yamaha is no exception here. Damn the performer and instead lets go for the "big bucks".
As a professional player my job should be made easier, so I can concentrate on my performance; during which, I should be able to, not only call up a registration but to create one "on the fly", so next time I need is there, ready to be recalled again and be able to go from one song to another "unnoticed" in a seamless manner. At home, it doesn't matter to me "a bag of beans" if it takes one minute or an hour or to go from one song to another or recall/create a registration, my profession won't be at stake.
Hey!…. you music companies out there! ..start hiring people that are "live" performers(instead of engineers "wishing" they were musicians)to design our Keyboards, and who give a damn about the needs of some of us trying to make a living here!! And fix that "pathetic" file saving system you guys are using on "our" KBs.
