I'm currently a Yamaha PSR2000 owner, and on this keyboard, BOTH the 'auto fill' and 'variation' can be easily saved in reg memory so that if you press the reg mem button, a fill automatically precedes the variation change. I'm certain that the Tyros should work exactly the SAME way as well.

Before storing settings into Reg Memory, it's IMPORTANT to not only make sure that the 'auto fill' button light is lit, but that the specific variation button (A,B,C, or D) is 'FLASHING' as well. Sometimes you need to press the variation button a 2nd time to put the button into a 'flashing' state. The flashing status signifies that the 'auto fill' status is engaged.
Now, when the style variation is stored into a Memory button, and the 'Reg Memory' button is pressed, a fill should automatically precede the style variation played.

Alf, PLEASE report back your findings here after you've tried my above procedure. I'm pretty sure that this should solve your problem.

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott, Many thanks for your prompt reply.
I have tried your procedure, and it works fine.I am used to Technics keyboards,so it will take me a while to get used to the way Yamaha do things.
Once again many thanks.
Alf
