I just got back from the hospital. The doctor had removed 12 lymph nodes at the time of the surgery. Eleven were clear but one had a cancer cell in it. This makes it by definition a stage three cancer. The doctor doesn't believe it has spread anywhere else.
She will begin chemotherapy in about a month from now. The history of cases with this profile have less than a 30 percent change of recurrance after chemo.
She will most likely be in the hospital until Thursday or Friday.
