In making new pads on my Kn7000 I have a problem making the drum sound I use staying on the pad I am recording. There must be a step I am not aware of.

1-Go to menu and select Performance Pads.
2-Select “A” / select Pad 3
3-Select clear Pad.

4-Because the default instrument is Piano I select Drums from the instrument sounds. Right hand Rt1.
5-Select (Recording) Part 1. The clicking (Tempo) starts.
6-Select Step Record.
7-I then record the pad.

When I play it back before closing the Performing Pad menu it sounds good. When I call it up during playback the drum sound has defaulted back to a piano sound.

Where am I going wrong???? Help Please.
These little things make me nuts. (Smile)
