Pardon my too many posts, it's my day off.

Keep it Simple

All though it nice to hear a brass section for a few bars or another part of the band do a riff, think of what they do to change the feel/mood. And keep in mind that the band should never change radically or you lose the realism.

Two instruments, the drums and the bass. A pad with bass drum and snare can be added to many different type of styles. And a bass drum on all four can add an additional drive. I feel the pads should add an accent - never to be played up front. (Unless there is a reason)

I miss the #6 pad any popular progression, even the circle of fifths. You are in the middle of a song in C major and you play a C chord and press pad 6 which has the circle of fifths or the 12 bar blues -- you solo over that and then come back to the song again.

Just some thoughts, John C.
