I'd be a bit careful with that second string being tuned all the way up to D.
I suggest you drop the entire tuning to a droning D flat. At least you'll know for sure that the second string won't break on you while you're trying to learn how to play with all the six dees!!!

I have a VG 8 and VG 88 systems where the droning dees are Factory presets. Kind of cool but a little to monotonous for my taste.
I much prefer a good old drop D or even the open tunings.
But you never know. The deeeeeeeeees might be fun.
I'll try them on my TL tomorrow. I think the B string on that is phat enough to take an extra stretch. Gona be a four starrin' bitch to bend it though.
