Thank you to everyone who has replied to my query.

It would seem to me that the majority of the replies are of a positive nature and has reassured me that there should not be any major problems if I go ahead and use the SP2.

My present system is working OK and I have reputable firewall and Virus software, will leave it as is for the time being. Joan
