that's it, the 1600/1400 would be fine if you don't need to load to 3000. Trouble with the 2000 it was a groundbreaking product, one of the most popular Technics ever, copied by others for years afterwards, so people tended to keep hold of it because it had a comfortable warm sound that was pretty beguiling.
