MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL SYNTHZONE TECHNICS FORUM MEMBERS NEW AND OLD. THANK YOU TO NIGEL FOR ENABLING US TO MOVE TO THIS FORUM THAT WAS NOT BEING USED AT THE TIME.
I am posting the original letters I sent to many of you that have been with us a long time as a reminder of what Nigel and Kerry have done for us in allowing us to use this forum. It has met all our expectations and will always continue to do so. However it does cost bucks to provide this forum also so once again I encourage all members to toss a couple bucks in the Pay Pal pot to help with the expense here. They pay the cost out of their pockets for us to enjoy this forum and each other. There is a Pay Pal icon here in the forum that you can click on and send in a contribution that I assure you will be well appreciated.
THANK YOU NIGEL AND KERRY AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS FROM ALL OF US IN THE TECHNICS FORUM.
Here are copies of my original letters to remind you where we came from, Why, and to share this history with all our new members that might be interested:

Subject: invitation and info on the new Technics Forum at the SynthZone
Date: Thursday, January 17, 2002 4:01 PM
Hi to all Technics Keyboard Owners and Friends,
I have pasted below my original letter that was sent out on the 15th,
just two days ago. Since that time we have been enabled to have a new
Technics Forum on the Synth Zone courtesy of the owner Mr. Nigel
Spencer. There have been 748 people there already as of earlier today.
There are no limitations and I have been appointed moderator of the
forum.
I want to invite you all to come to the synthzone and register and post
your messages. You may also request further information there or from me
by email. We do not hide email addresses on this forum. You can email
anyone that has posted.
We are one big happy family of music people. Please come and enjoy us.
It is free and it is awesome. The Synthzone has a forum for most every
instrument made that you can access any and all from the home page http://www.synthzone.com/
You can go directly to our forum by clicking on the website on the
bottom of this page in my signature under my name.
I just now received your email addresses or I would have included you in
the original mailing below and all the follow up mailings I have sent
out. Please forward to any of your friends that might be interested. We
expect to have the best Technics forum in the world. Please come and be
a part of it.
Thanks to you all and best regards from
Bebop

Below is the originial email I sent out to all of you old timers
that have been with us since the beginning of this forum:
Hi to all Music Friends,
I am writing this "E" to let you know that the technote forum is no
longer conducive to wants and needs of many of us. It now exists for
the sole purpose of selling you their products. The censorship has
precluded all forms of fellowship, music sharing, promotions, and
anything else they deem non productive or competitive to their sales, on
a daily censorship sweep. Of course, it is their website and they are
entitled to do just that. I can't fault the commercial limitations of
their attitudes.
Many of us have noted that our posts are being deleted as fast as we can
put them up. I have copies of several that criticized the new formats
and have been deleted. Request them if you would like to read them as
they were all deleted last night, about 15 of them including mine.
We do have other options. There are other forums available and more can
be set up. I am sure there is a lot of talent among us that might be
willing to work on this project. I also think that even if it was
necessary to subsidize a new ISP and forum that with the amount of
Technics owner members we probably could get, it would be a very small
cost per person, maybe 4 or 5 dollars a year dues or even less. I have
no idea at this time. I am not sure how much free space an ISP will
allow for us.
I have E mail addresses for all of you that are receiving this E-mail
and they are visible to you when you open this email. I ask you to send
me the email address of any of your Technics owners friends or contacts
that I do not yet have. I will then write them and ask them as I now ask
you for your permission to keep your name in my Technics E-mail list
that I am starting today. It will function as an email forum for us, for
the time being. I have been doing this for sometime on a limited basis.
I am not sure how much my internet service provider will allow but I can
pay them extra if that is required. Let me know if you want me to delete
your email address that I now have and I will do that, and not bother
you further.
It is my intent to forward any email I receive from you to everyone on
the list. We as list members, can reply to each other through the list
or directly as we all will have everyone's email address. I have been
enjoying exchanging emails and music with all of you. I feel I have made
many new friends in the process. Thank you to all for your responses.
I am retired, 70 years old, 65 years a musician and have been into
computers and keyboards since they were invented. I have no other axe to
grind then to eliminate the censorship being imposed by the forum.
I also have an IRC room on starchatnet that is dedicated to musicians
where we chat and exchange music files of all formats. We also exchange
chat on ICQ and can transfer files back and forth there. You need the
MIRC or Pirch client for IRC. These software's are a free download from
the net. The IRQ is also a free download from the net. The Pirch client
is best as it has a built in Media player so that we usually have music
playing in the room at all time. You can download manually or auto any
song that is played. The formats that can be played there are Midi, Real
Audio, Mp3 etc, but we can also exchange zipped Technics files.
Please get back to me if you find you are interested in escaping this
rude and raw censorship of the technote forum, and want to be able to
freely exchange fellowship, files and fun.
We don't need rules and we don't need censorship. That was defeated in
other countries long ago. I also think that most of us don't have
anything to sell. We freely give of our selves through our music.
Best to you all.
