Yamaha were waiting to see exactly what Technics are going to do before deciding what to put in the 9000 / PRO successor, which was shown in mock up form. Stylistically it was a copy of the KN6000.
Ketron had nothing new to compare in the same catagory. The XD9 was a sort of re-hash of the X1 and some SD1 stuff I suppose, but limited compared to the 7000.
Roland had nothing new in this area.
The only real competitor in this area of facilities and features was the Gem Genesys which is in a higher price range, particularly if you add in all the extras such as hard disk and cd writer.
