It looks official as the Press Release is from Pinnacle Systems website. I also wondered if we would see a repeat of the Emagic Logic takeover. It may be a different situation in that Steinberg could lose market share to companies like Cakewalk if they minimized support for non Yamaha gear which wouldn't be sound business. I like Yamaha music gear but of course I also use other brands as well.
