I think that, by the time you have got ANY TOTL arranger in your arsenal, you are good to go for that end of things. You will be able to get MUCH higher quality sounds out of software, and any shortcomings with the sounds in the arranger are easily replaced by high-quality VST‘s.

Just recently, I put the only money that I have spent on upgrading my rig into a much better computer rather than chasing after any of the modern hardware keyboards. My 2010 iMac was getting pretty long in the tooth, and totally incapable of running any of today’s software. So I put my money into a new M4 Mac mini Pro. Under $1000, and easily powerful enough for any foreseeable future needs.

I intend to spend my money on good quality plug-ins like Keyscape, and Omnisphere and things like that. A fraction of the money a Genos or PA5x would cost, and capable of.SO much more…

Arrangers are a great tool to have, but they are only one arrow in your quiver. Blowing all your money on one arrow doesn’t leave you much of a defense!
