Almost no song specific styles is actually some thing I applaud in a modern arranger! Let’s face it if it’s something, modern, older players don’t really want to perform it, if it’s something old, new performers don’t really want to perform it! And so often, those song styles are so specific that you really can use them for only one song.

Arranges always used to have generic styles, and it was the use of those generic styles in different ways with different styles for the same tune that made each of us individual. If you want to sound JUST like the record, why not get an audio backing track or an SMF? 🎹
